What is a Tummy Tuck?

Liposuction is an effective method for reducing the amount of excess fat around the abdominal area. However, it is important to note that this procedure cannot be a solution for sagging skin. If you are experiencing sagging and flabby abdominal fat or excessive stretching, liposuction alone may not be adequate to achieve your desired waistline contours. In these cases, a tummy tuck is implemented to pull up the sagging skin and muscle to create a slim abdomen.

Tummy Tuck is recommended if:

  • You want to remove sagging skin with minimal scarring and fast recovery

  • You desire to eliminate postpartum stretch marks or flabbiness

  • You are seeking a more curvaceous and contoured S-line figure

  • You want to eliminate uneven body fat resulting from unsuccessful liposuction and to attain a smoother and more refined body contour

Types of Tummy Tuck

  • Total Abdominoplasty

Total Abdominoplasty combines liposuction and lifting, as a result, excess skin and fat are removed from the abdomen, and the abdominal muscles are tightened. The procedure can help to address issues such as sagging skin, excess fat, and weakened abdominal muscles, often resulting from significant weight loss or pregnancy. The result of total abdominoplasty is a flatter, firmer, and more toned abdomen.

  • Mini Abdominoplasty

Mini abdominoplasty is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that involves small incisions in the lower abdomen through which a camera and surgical instruments are inserted to improve the appearance of the lower abdomen for individuals with a small amount of excess skin or fat. This procedure is highly recommended if your sagging is concentrated around the lower abdomen. Mini abdominoplasty results in less scarring, less pain, and a shorter recovery time compared to traditional abdominoplasty.
