What is Double Eyelid Surgery?

There are three types of double eyelid surgery: non-incisional, incisional, and partial incisional.

The surgery method is chosen considering the following factors :

i) the thickness of the skin

ii) the thickness of the muscle

iii) the volume of hypodermic fat

Non-incisional Double Eyelid Surgery

Non-incisional double eyelid surgery is a surgical method that ties the skin and muscles of the eyelid together without making any incisions.

In this method, invisible sutures beneath the upper eyelids create desired double eyelid lines.

The non-incisional method works better on teenagers and young adults with favorable skin elasticity.

If you have sleepy eyes, it is preferable to perform ptosis correction surgery along with double eyelid surgery as it is hard to get the desired results by implementing double eyelid surgery alone.

Non-incisional double eyelid surgery is recommended if:

  • You want a natural-looking result with a quick recovery.

  • You have thin eyelids without excessive fat, muscle, or skin.

  • You want to correct not severely asymmetrical eyelids.
