What is Long Nose Surgery?


A long nose is a type of nose that is long, with a droopy tip and a hump on the nose bridge.  A long nose may make the face look unfeminine and old. Various surgical methods may be implemented to derive the desired results.

Long nose surgery is recommended if:

  • Your nose is longer compared to the proportions of your face


  • Your nose tip is droopy and pointing downwards


  • Your long nose makes you look older

Surgery Methods

Alar Cartilage Repositioning

 The alar cartilage is repositioned to shorten the nose. 

If necessary, the alar cartilage may be trimmed.

Nasal Septum Correction

The nasal septum may be trimmed is some cases.

Muscle Repositioning

In some cases, the muscle that pulls down the nose tip may be repositioned.

Skin Removal

Some excess skin and tissue may be removed.
