What is Double Eyelid Surgery?

There are three types of double eyelid surgery: non-incisional, incisional, and partial incisional.

The surgery method is chosen considering the following factors :

i) the thickness of the skin

ii) the thickness of the muscle

iii) the volume of hypodermic fat

Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery

Incisional double eyelid surgery removes extra tissue (skin, fat, and muscle) to create natural double eyelids.

This method is recommended for those who want clearly defined creases or have sagging skin or need revision eyelid surgery.

It is also the most effective method when the eyelids are thick or are severely asymmetrical.

Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery is recommended if:

  • Your eyelids are thick with a high volume of fat/muscle

  • You have excess skin in your eyelids

  • You have asymmetrical eyes

  • You want to have clearly defined double eyelids
