Facelift surgery procedures

Step 1. 

An incision is made behind the hairline towards the front of the ear to allow access to the underlying tissues.

Step 2. 

The SMAS(superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer is exposed by cutting the retaining ligaments that hold it in place.

Step 3.

The SMAS layer is then pulled upwards while retaining the fat pads, and excised and fixed to preauricular hard tissue

Step 4. 

Finally, any excess skin is removed, and the incision is closed with sutures.
