What is Bulbous Tip Correction?

The nose tip is one of the important parts of our face that determines our first impression. Many people have a wide or big nose tip.

To achieve a slim nose tip, we manipulate the alar cartilage and remove excess fat and tissue to bring the optimal result. Your face can become well-balanced in three dimensions by creating a defined and higher nose tip.

Bulbous tip correction is recommended if:

  • You have a round and big nose tip

  • You have a low nose tip

  • You have thick skin and excessive fat tissue around the nose tip

2 NOs in Tip Plasty at GIRIN

1. NO artificial materials

At GIRIN, when Tip Plasty is performed, biological materials (such as cartilage and dermis) are used instead of implants.

Thus, there is negligible risk of infection or further change in shape.

2. NO recurrence

As the surgery is performed by our well-experienced surgeons, you can be sure that the surgery will have dramatic results.

Tip Plasty Surgery Methods

1. Alar Cartilage Suture

The alar cartilage is gathered together and various suture techniques are applied to narrow the nose tip. Although the suture material will dissolve with time, the cartilages will remain in their modified shape.

2. Fatty Layer Removal

The fatty/muscular tissue layer between the skin and the alar cartilage is partially removed.

3. Augmenting the tip

Generally, augmenting the nose tip is necessary to gain the maximal effect of bulbous tip correction.
